{"id":74,"date":"2024-11-26T11:28:54","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T11:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beta.talentjn.com\/tj-blog\/?p=74"},"modified":"2025-01-23T07:09:57","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T07:09:57","slug":"talent-junction-an-intro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beta.talentjn.com\/tj-blog\/talent-junction-an-intro\/","title":{"rendered":"Talent Junction\u2026 An Intro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talent Junction is a new age career platform built with a vision to vastly improve the recruitment experience and outcome.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current recruitment processes lag behind the times.\u00a0 Finding and retaining talent is increasingly difficult.\u00a0 Hiring companies use a variety of job portals to advertise job openings in the hope of finding the right candidate.\u00a0 And candidates, many of them with inadequately qualifications and\u00a0 experience, apply to multiple jobs with the expectation that something will work out.\u00a0 A typical spray and pray approach on both sides.\u00a0 The result is long hiring cycles costing companies significant sums of money towards both the direct hiring expense and the much higher indirect productivity loss. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From my experience, hiring suffers from several challenges.\u00a0 First and foremost, good talent is in short supply.\u00a0 Added to that, the candidate selection process lacks objectivity and so is error prone causing repeat work.\u00a0 Lastly, recruiters lack the expertise to select the right candidates.\u00a0 This talent struggle will continue to worsen with the added complexity of new evolving technologies impacting every business function and requiring everchanging skills in candidates.\u00a0 The only way out of this logjam is to improve availability by nurturing more and better talent\u2026 by creating a mechanism for candidates to continuously rebuild their skills throughout their careers.\u00a0 Recruiters must up their game too. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talent Junction is born out of the desire to tackle these recruitment challenges, using a three-step approach.\u00a0 First, helping candidates become future ready through continuous learning, assessments and mentorship.\u00a0 Second, making the recruitment process as objective as possible to enable a targeted approach.\u00a0 Finally, engaging expert recruiters with knowledge of the business function to create a better experience on both sides. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a nutshell, nurture talent, enable an objective hiring process and provide outstanding experience.\u00a0 These are our goals.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Talent Junction is a new age career platform built with a vision to vastly improve the recruitment experience and outcome.
